| Schmidt Associates, P.C. opened its doors on February 1, 1990. Stan Schmidt believed that every business, no matter how big or small, needs a Chief Financial Officer. The firm was strategically designed to provide that function to those businesses that were most likely too small to have a CFO on staff.
It became apparent very early in the life of the firm that the CFO was most effective if adequate records were properly and timely maintained. Recordkeeping and payroll processing rapidly became a key part of the practice. To this day, the firm boasts a thriving recordkeeping and payroll practice as well as retirement plan design and administration.
Although income tax return preparation has always been a key component of the success of the firm, income tax planning is strongly encouraged as a more effective way to manage the income tax bite. Other planning engagements include financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and business planning.
